A box lens is a large broadcast zoom lens used at fixed camera positions for live sport, concerts and major events. Its very long zoom range lets one camera cover everything from a full-venue wide shot to a tight close-up from a long distance. ### Why does 4K UHD matter for a box lens? A 4K camera can only resolve as much detail as its lens delivers. UHD box lenses hold 4K detail across the full zoom range, which matters for UHD broadcasts, high-resolution IMAG screens and content reframed for social media. ### Can I hire the lenses without operators? The Canon Digisuper lenses are supplied with Mushroom Motion's own operators, so they are set up, run and packed down by people who know them. ### Where can you work? Across South Africa, with Johannesburg and Cape Town teams. Ask us about productions elsewhere in Africa. ### How far in advance should I book? As early as possible. Availability is limited during peak event season. Let's put a date to it ## Check lens availability Tell us your production, dates and venue, and we'll confirm availability and come back with a quote.
